History of Success: RiverWest Acupuncture in Portland

Lisa Francolini, L.Ac. is the owner of RiverWest Acupuncture in Portland, and has been in practice since 1995.  After being in practice for several years, Lisa found that her success had a down side.  She was so effective, that word of mouth spread and she found she couldn’t see all the patients that were looking for her expertise; she consistently had a waiting list of patients trying to get into see her.  That didn’t seem like good patient care to her, so she decided to hire the best acupuncturists she could find, that would meld with her style so that her patients care would continue uninhibited by enough time slots.

Over the years, the practice has continued to grow, and each acupuncturist has a specialty.  It’s been an unplanned bonus, as the acupuncturists collaborate together, so that RiverWest Acupuncture patients benefit from the sum of the whole in expertise.   Learn more about our acupuncturists and their specialties.

A Mission of Service and Giving Back

RiverWest Acupuncture is a family friendly clinic that was built on a foundation of love and a strong desire to provide honest and expert care to patients, and a passion to be deeply in service to the community.

Drawing on more than 30 years of education and patient care, our practitioners rely on a holistic approach when addressing patient’s acute or chronic conditions. In addition to working as a team in the office, practitioners commonly collaborate with community referral partners, as well as patient’s medical doctors to deliver the highest level of healing.

Chinese medicine and acupuncture is one of the oldest, natural, and most commonly used systems of healing in the world. As a result, our patients find relief from what ails them, revealing their true potential for long-lasting well-being without side effects.

A wide range of health issues respond well to acupuncture, including headaches, musculo-skelatal pain due to auto accidents, repetitive stress or sports injury, morning sickness, stress, insomnia. It also helps the body with colds, flus or allergies, auto-immune conditions, and more.  Thus, for a more comprehensive list, see our Treatment page.
